  I visited Dr Penny Stringer because I was interested in bio-identical hormones and dealing with fatigue. During my first and only visit with Dr Penny Stringer merely glanced (i.e, did not study with serious intent) at my results from blood tests and informed me that I had a low grade infection. When I tried to discuss my symptoms associated with menopause she informed that it was impossible for me to be in menopause. Please I did list on my forms that I had gone several years with a period. (Also the average age for menopause women in the US is 51 and I was 54) Then she went on to state that I was gluten intolerance, and because I visited several foreign countries I must have multiple parasites. Additionally she stated that cancer and depression were related to consuming gluten. At the close out of the visit Dr Penny Stringer tried sell her very expensive ($$$$) supplements to me. Based on my experience with Dr Penny Stringer I would not recommend her services. I should note that about a year later I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer after finding a lump. I feel Dr Penny Stringer is personally biased towards gluten intolerance/parasites and that the low grade infection and the fatigue were signs my body was dealing with cancer. If Dr Stringer would have listened to me a patient and followed through with the bio-identical hormones and requested a mammogram my breast cancer would have been detected much earlier. I believe she does not truly have a clear view of how to provide unbiased patient care. Finally, Dr Penny Stringer's bedside manner was abrasive and rude.
